Lim Hwee Tiong, Singaporean
Lim Hwee Tiong, a graduate of Singapore Academy of Art, began his watercolour studies in 1967. His works are part of the Singapore Collection at the Art Museum, and he has exhibited in numerous shows organized by the National Museum, Ministry of Culture, and local Art Societies.
His first solo exhibition was in 1991 at the National Museum. In 2010, he exhibited alongside Wong Hai and Ang Siew Tin, and in 2013, he showcased a solo exhibition titled Memories of the Past, featuring scenes of old Singapore. From 1994 onwards, he has participated in international exhibitions across Asia, with his works held in public and private collections, including at Nanyang Technological University and the UOB Group collection.

Having painted the streets of Singapore since the 70s, i wanted to experiment and discover a different depth in presenting these landscape. I have witnessed its vast changes over the decades as Singapore progress to this vibrant city today.”
